Introductory Seminar in the History of Modern and Contemporary Slovene Art may take place either in the classroom or at visits to galleries and studios where it is possible to study original artifacts. The lecturer (or the artist) animates students to analyze and evaluate the artworks in an independent manner.
The introductory seminar involves also class reading and commenting on specific writings and reviews on art.
The introductory seminar deals with art of the 19th century, modern art and contemporary art and its dilemmas.

The basic literature is various: monographies, catalogues, readers, also rewievs of current exhibitons.
