The emphasis of the course will be on correct pronunciation and accentuation in individual letters and words as well as in longer texts. The formation and analysis of individual sounds, the relationship between speech sound and phoneme, the phonological system of language, accent, correct pronunciation of letters in different positions, basic rules of Czech orthography and phonetic transcription will be discussed.
