Definition of the subject and basic concepts; biological and grammatical sex; sexual identity and other identities of an individual. History of sex and gender and comparison with various cultures. Two or more sexes; cultural construction of masculinity and femininity. Relation between body and its cultural image. Human sexuality as a social construct. Social division of labour and roles within families and sex affiliation. Aggression, violence and (social) power. Public and private sphere and topography of sex and gender. Sex and gender symbolism in mythology and folklore.
